New to Zeis Dental? Here’s what to expect.
Your first appointment includes a conversation with Dr. Zeis and your hygienist about your past experiences with dental care, any specific concerns or questions you have about your dental health, and what you’d like your dental care to accomplish.
We’ll take a set of x-rays, perform a standard oral cancer screening, and do a full charting of your mouth to record the condition of your gums, your teeth, and your temporomandibular joint. We’ll update this chart at every visit so that we can track your progress and spot potential issues before they become serious. Based on what we find, we’ll talk about options for your treatment plan and create it together.

Yes, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out patient information.

Bring a list of your current medications, ID, and dental insurance card, if you will be using insurance.

We generally schedule 90 minutes for the first appointment. This allows us time to chart your mouth, take x-rays, examine your teeth, review the findings together, and answer your questions. Most new patients will receive a cleaning at this appointment. Patients diagnosed with periodontal disease will have their cleanings performed at a future visit.

Smile Club
Zeis Dental offers an in-house savings plan for patients. With clinical guidance from the dentist, patients select a package that includes two, three, or four cleanings per year.
X-rays, exams, and fluoride treatment are included. All other dental work is discounted 10%. There is no deductible, no waiting period, and no benefit maximums.

We are able to work with many insurance plans offered by employers–whether we are considered in-network or out-of-network. As a complimentary service, we will file the claims for you.
